What impressed us most was the amazing team behind the hotel. From the front desk, to the activity organisers, to the restaurant staff, everyone was warm, friendly, helpful, and attentive. The room arrangement was one of the most unforgettable parts of our stay. Waking up to the breathtaking view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain was simply amazing. The view received so many compliments from our friends and family, and many of them even asked us more about the hotel because they were so impressed. It truly made our stay feel extra special. A very special thank you to Jennifer, the Front Office Manager, for her prompt replies and thoughtful arrangements before our stay. Her care and attention to detail made us feel reassured even before we arrived, and we really appreciated all the effort she put in to make our stay so well arranged. Another highlight was how kid-friendly the hotel is. There were so many enjoyable activities for children, especially the animal feeding sessions and campfire dancing. Our child enjoyed them so much, and seeing her so happy made the stay even more meaningful for us. The fact that she is already asking to come back says everything. Breakfast was also a wonderful part of our stay. There was a good variety, the food was enjoyable, and the setting was beautiful. Starting each morning with the peaceful view of the lake and mountains made the experience even more special. This hotel truly raised our expectations of what a great and luxurious hotel should be. It is not only a beautiful property, but also a place made special by a team that brings so much warmth, care, and dedication to every guest’s stay. Congratulations to the hotel for having such an outstanding team and such a wonderful place. Thank you for giving our family such beautiful memories. We will remember this stay fondly.”

„The hotel has well-trained and excellent service staff especially Ms Emma Bai who attended to us and was attentive to all our needs during our stay. Apart from the great service, the hotel’s breakfast was top notch and its good location afforded easy access to the famous Lijiang ancient city via its back gate. Just two observations for the hotel’s consideration. One is related to the TV programmes. There are limited foreign channels and I could not watch all of them as the images on the channels would freeze and the volume became inaudible. This problem also affected a number of local Chinese channels as well. Second, the toilet extractor in the room did not seem to be working. I did not raise these issues during my stay as we spent the majority of our time outside the hotel. For future reference, it would be good if the rooms are checked before they are assigned. Other than these two issues, the overall stay at the hotel was near perfect. I would like to add that this hotel has a magnificent view of the jade snow dragon mountain especially from the coffee lounge in the lobby area (see picture).”

„Mieliśmy niesamowity pobyt w tym hotelu w Lijiang. Widok z obiektu był po prostu oszałamiający i sprawił, że cała podróż była niezapomniana. Pokój był przestronny, bardzo nowoczesny i emanował luksusem w każdym detalu, co czyniło go zarówno komfortowym, jak i wyjątkowym. Od momentu przyjazdu poczuliśmy się ciepło przyjęci — powitano nas świeżymi, pysznymi owocami i wspaniałą herbatą Pu'er, która smakowała wyśmienicie. Każdego ranka, ponieważ musieliśmy wcześnie wyjechać, hotel z troską przygotowywał dla nas śniadanie na wynos, co było bardzo miłym gestem. Najbardziej zaimponowała mi obsługa — personel był niezwykle przyjazny, gościnny i zawsze dbał o to, abyśmy czuli się dobrze. Od zameldowania do wymeldowania wszystko przebiegło sprawnie i z troską. Ten hotel naprawdę łączy w sobie piękne widoki, komfort i doskonałą gościnność. Gorąco polecam go każdemu, kto odwiedza Lijiang i chętnie tu wrócę.”

„I am Delightfully Amazed by this renowned famous Banyan Tree Hotel. It is such a Beautifully Constructed Hotel with West Lake like Environment surrounding with Villas giving you a Big Beautiful Chinese style Garden Ambience. I am lucky to get a Free Upgrade to a Villa with Swimming Pools and Jade Dragon Mountain View right in front of Bedroom with a Garden (many thanks to their front office staffs). What impressed me the Most is all their Staffs are so Well Trained on All the Details Focusing on giving you the Best Services that Anyone would ask for. 5 Stars to their Top Management Direction, Management Implementation, All Ground Staffs Dedication to giving World Class Services. Their Restaurant Foods Quality is also very Good and at very Reasonable Pricing for a 5 Stars Restaurant. Do get their Restaurant Breakfast Package which is really Worth it for their Variety and Good Quality Foods. I will highly Recommend this Hotel for anyone that is Visiting Lijiang as even their Location is Perfect at the Middle of the 3 ancient towns so traveling around is within 10-25mins and away from the noisy busy ancient towns. It's my first time spending so much time and efforts to give this honest review because i simply think the Whole Banyan Tree Team deserves it. Impressed, Amazing, Enjoyable, Enchanting, Great Experience, It's a Only Hotel that I will Stay in Lijiang (i cancelled other hotel and extended another 2 more days in Banyan Tree)”

„We had a great time staying here, we had a room with the downstairs bath room which is a unique in design in the old house, love the warm floor in the winter time and love the experience that going up and downs when going to washroom, it was fun! The hotel atmosphere are great and making us feeling like home from the very sec the auntie pick up from the ShuHe old town north gate, to the receptionist introduce the hotel and its culture at the reception bar which has a nice set up with free tea, fruit and home made cake provided. Love the “heart” from the Singapore lady owner to establish and own the place, it is a 情怀 instead of a place run for $$$, the room diary is an awesome gem, feeling blessed to know who else in the word had ever stay in the same room and their stories, made me can’t stop to leave something too. the 3 night stay here made me an unique experience in this trip, love it and will come back again. Please continue to share the heart and love in this place till we r back again :)”

„Hidden away in Lijiang Old Town, this place offers a peaceful escape despite its central location. The view from the room's balcony is absolutely stunning – you can see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain by day and the twinkling lights of the old town by night. The room itself is clean and tidy, with comfortable bedding, underfloor heating, and reliable hot water. The owner is very kind and gentle, helping with luggage and offering thoughtful travel tips, even providing a souvenir. Sitting on the terrace, sipping tea and watching the clouds, my restless mind immediately found peace. Staying here in Lijiang is truly therapeutic; I'll definitely be back.”

„My hubby & I were greeted by courteous, friendly & helpful reception staff. We were given free breakfast & they were sumptuous, especially the fresh flower biscuits. The staff also helped us to taobao our breakfast as we had to leave very early in the morning for an outing. The cafe was very beautiful & has a peaceful & refreshing vibe. It has a view of the jade snow mountain. The hotel room was also tastefully designed. It is very sparkly clean & the accessories used were of good quality. I could sleep very well with the comfy bed mattress. The hotel location is good. It has many eateries & some shopping mall. Taking didi is not an issue. The didi can pick up & drop at the doorstep. We actually booked for 2 nights. Because the service hotel & accommodation were so excellent & the room rate was really value for money, we decided to extend another 3 more nights. So we actually stayed 5 nights in a row, which we usually don't do. Our room was also upgraded. Besides that, we could wash & dry our laundry daily. We were very pleased that the laundry lady would deliver them to our room, which made our stay a pleasant one. Thank you to all the staff which made our stay filled with fond good memories in Lijiang.”

„One of the best memorable trip in china, or even my life. Location 10/10 Just 3 min walk, north of ancient city, where you can easily find local price restaurant that isn't tourist trap. Reachable by car or walk with luggage. Cleanliness 10/10 Sparkling clean up to japanese cleanliness level. Service 15/10 +1 helpful morning food on the day we go to yulong mountain. Staff pack some food, even tho its simple and not much, but it really helps on our full day trip. +1 for surprise drink prepared for us after tough day on the mountain. Again, simple brown sugar drink, but we appreciate it. +3 for dog lovers like me. They have golden retriever on the roof AND WE JUST LOVE DOGs that we need to go see her. They allow us to play, and flexible enough, LET US WALK WITH HER for road walk (its what i did for 5 years for my dogs). She s so cute and playful. I walked her around in the morning before we get back (sob) we missed her. Facilities 10/10 smart home with many functions. Tho we didnt use them coz its not supporting english. Breakfast 9/10 Is okay, but since we are Thai, we take food seriously and we have seen better morning dishes. But again, its not that bad. Just basics. Value for money 10/10 Not too expensive or cheap. About the right price, with more value for service. Definitely come back, especially if they have BKK - Lijiang direct flight coming up.”
